For everyone that took the survey, THANK YOU. I am working through every response and have already come across several great ideas to work with and make improvements to the club. Thanks for your feedback. Below is the information for the SCOR Winter Camp and Canton Cup.
SCOR Winter Camp Below is the schedule for the SCOR Winter Camp located at East Rockford Middle School Basketball Gyms. Please look closely at the dates. Also remember, this camp is FREE and is covered as part of your player fees. - All SELECT Boys attend training on Saturdays
- All SELECT Girls attend training on Sundays.
- PREMIER teams train on Sundays.
Please take note of the following for what to bring: - Bring the shoes you are training in separately. With wet or snowy surfaces, we will reduce water on the courts and risking injury by having our player change into their training/soccer/tennis shoes when arriving.
- Must have shin guards, ball, and FLAT shoes (no cleats - we train on the basketball court)
- Water Bottle
CANCELLATION POLICY: Any posted school or school activity closings will cancel training for that specific day. If training is cancelled on Saturday, it is NOT cancelled for Sunday unless school activities are cancelled for that day also. SCOR reserves the right to cancel training for inclement weather even if school does not cancel activities. With any questions, your best bet is to check the SCOR Website, email,

Canton Cup SCOR will be returning to the Canton Cup for the 2012 Spring Tournament. Considering the changes they are making for the coming year and the balance of competition SCOR has decided to return to Canton in 2012. Look for an email within the week for team managers to register their teams and arrange for hotels. SCOR is attempting to block as many rooms as possible in a single or adjoining hotels to have as much of the club in one location as we can. The weekend for the spring tournament is May 25, 26, & 27. Look for details to follow soon.

SCOR Families,
First off, thank you for being a part of SCOR this past season. On behalf of SCOR, I hope you enjoyed the experience and that your son/daughter grew as a soccer player and individual on the field.
This is a CrAzY time of year for the club - so here are the Big 3 Announcements
1. We desperately need your help as volunteers for tryouts. We need: - Evaluators: If you understand soccer and can help be an evaluator of players, please respond. We need evaluators for our Premier tryouts all day on Saturday, as well as Select tryouts on Monday and Tuesday evening.
- Registration Volunteers: We need help to get all the players through registration and out to the field for tryouts. It can not go smoothly without your help. We need your support. It is only for 1 hour. Again please reply if you can help out in during the following times:

2. Coach's Cup is tomorrow! The Coach's Cup is a fun game at the end of every year that pits the men's team coaches vs. the women's team coaches. Tomorrow, Wednesday 6/15, from 6:00 - 7:30pm at the Freshmen Center. SCOR will have free ice cream. Come out and support our coaches. It's fun - you can laugh, and we'll have a great time.
3. Last but not least, sign-up for tryouts! You will save yourself a lot of time by registering now online and not just signing up when you get there. It's easy to do: www.scorsoccer.net/registration
Thank you for your time! Please volunteer. Email me to let me know when you can help. Hope to see you tomorrow at the Coaches Cup tomorrow and at tryouts this weekend.

SCOR Families,
I have a few important announcements. I know most look for the important stuff in an email and move on. I will be brief, but please read all announcements.
CANTON CUP There is not much more to be said. It was a worst case scenario for Canton and player injuries finally cancelled the tournament. Perhaps that call should have been made to cancel before it started. SCOR has attended this tournament since 2002. This year, according to points only. (and realizing some teams could have made it to the finals had they got their last game in) it appears we had 8 teams in the finals and 3 Champion teams. Congratulations to those teams that made it and to everyone for working hard this weekend. And also thank you for your patience. It may be time for our club to take a break from Canton and try another tournament for next year, for a change. I have received many emails and welcome any others with your comments. For those interested in scores, please visit their site: http://mycantoncup.net
TRY-OUTS Sign-ups for try-outs are open. Current players also need to sign-up. Please click here. Financial aid is available and can be found at the same link provided. Please see website for details and tryout times. Please email with all other questions. - U8 & U9 Developmental Team ($200)
- U8 to U18 Select Team ($375-$450) Try-outs held on Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21.
- U13 to U18 Premier Teams ($650-$1,300) Try-outs held on Saturday, June 18.
SCOR Summer Camp Included (at no-cost) with Select and Premier team programs: - Girls - August 8th - 12th
- Boys - August 15th - 19th
FREE Spring Training Only TWO training sessions left before try-outs. Bring a friend - ALL are welcome. Come and hone your skills. Friday night June 3 & 10 at Roguewood Elementary. It's FREE and hosted by Alex Ludwig, club DOC. U8 to U11: 5:30-7:00pm U12 and up: 7:00-8:30pm
Open Board Positions We have two open positions on the SCOR Board of Directors. We really need your help filling these spots. Consider helping. Please send email to mailbox@scorsoccer.net if interested or for more information. - SCOR Secretary: The Secretary of SCOR records the discussions and resolutions of the SCOR Board of Directors' meetings and issues a written summary (minutes) of the proceedings.
- SCOR Team Director: The primary function of the Team Director is to work with new and existing team managers prior to the beginning of the fall and spring seasons to help them understand their roles with their individual team and coach.
Share Your Photos! Send us your photos of players, teams, coaches, parents and other SCOR related images so that we can share them with the entire club on our website. And don't forget to send us those awesome action shots!
To submit photos, follow these instructions: - Photos are sent by email. Send them to: photos@scorsoccer.net
- In the subject line of your email, enter the caption text you wish for the photo (if any).
- Click SEND and that's it!
You can send them from your computer or email them directly from your camera phone! All photos will be reviewed by SCOR staff and selected before being displayed on the club website.
Thank you all for your time and being a member of the club and supporting our players. Go SCOR!
