Erwin Van Elst serves as the Director of Coaching and Player Development at SCOR-Meulensteen. In addition to his SCOR-Meulensteen duties, he is self-employed as a partner in Meulensteen Method, developing soccer curriculum, offering coaching education and clinics, and running camps.
Van Elst brings years of soccer experience to SCOR-Meulensteen as he was selected to the Dutch Regional team, played on a state championship team, played amateur soccer, and played professional soccer with Helmond Sports in the Netherlands. Erwin brings a wealth of knowledge with many years of coaching behind him. He was named high school district Coach of the Year, served as both the Forest Hills Northern boys and girls coach, is a former ODP coach, organized 5-day coaching educational trip to Manchester United, is a three-time NSCAA presenter at the coaches convention, and coached at a number of West Michigan clubs.
Erwin is originally from the Netherlands. Erwin graduated from CIOS, Arnham, Netherlands and Trinity Christian College. Erwin was an All-American and Rookie of the Year during his playing career at Trinity Christian College.
He currently holds a UEFA B-License and USSF B-license.
Erwin resides in Grandville, Michigan with his wife Kendra.
